Our Story
Hi! We’re Faye and James, the founders (and now husband and wife!) behind Amour Natural.
We started this journey with a simple goal: to make aromatherapy easy, affordable, and accessible to everyone. Wellness shouldn’t be complicated or exclusive, it should be something anyone can enjoy and benefit from.
Faye has always been interested (okay, obsessed!) with natural health. After studying Health Science at university and then earning an Advanced Diploma in Nutritional Therapy, she worked for an Ayurvedic company, travelling across the South West of England to support over 200 health shops.
That’s where she fell in love with the world of independent retailers and saw firsthand how passionate other people are about natural products and wellbeing. At the same time, she started using essential oils in her own wellness routine, and they quickly became her go-to for staying healthy, happy, and balanced.
It was around this time that we met. James was working in supply chain at the time. He is incredibly organised, has an exceptional eye for quality and excellent supplier relationships. We got on really well, started dating, and soon after started our business!
Our mission was to create our own range of essential oils and blends that are simple to use, effective, and won’t break the bank, whilst supporting independent businesses.
We started small – really small. Picture a tiny spare bedroom in our flat in Bristol, with oils, bottles, and labels everywhere. But with a lot of passion, telephone calls and late nights, we grew our business.
A couple of years into our business journey, we moved to a warehouse in Glastonbury, and a little later we got married!
Over the years, we’ve continued to grow and evolve. We work with a wide range of retailers now, and James has developed an outstanding talent for creating beautiful essential oil blends. Each of our bespoke blends are designed to be both therapeutic and delightful to use, and these have become a key part of the Amour Natural range
As things have grown, we’ve never lost sight of what’s important to us: supporting local businesses and helping people use essential oils both in treatments and at home. What started as a dream in our spare room has grown into something much bigger, but our mission remains the same—to make aromatherapy accessible, effective, affordable, and enjoyable for everyone.
